This study attempts to identify the repercussions of the past of migrants from the ancestors of the Indo-Antilles on the adaptation of their descendants to West Indian societies and analyzes the topicality of the fields of their social, religious and cultural economy. The issues of integration and assimilation are revisited, in the light of the sociological work of the Chicago School on contemporary immigration.
