Rethinking faith taking into account the weight of our history is a serious matter. Keeping our eyes fixed on the links that exist between the African man and the Passion of this Palestinian Jew who was executed by hanging him on a wood (AC 5,20), we must run the risk of understanding the mystery of God by taking up the questions put to the Churches of Africa by men and women who wonder how God concerns them in the dramatic conditions in which they live today.
